My mother & I, after two decades of distaste and disgust, both grew fond of mushrooms at the age of 20. This newly acquired taste has shaken my world. This blog is my tribute to mushrooms in their every way, shape and/or form; a celebrative compensation for what I have been missing out on for my entire life.

Ian Strange SUBURBAN @ NGV Studio
The Ian Strange show at the NGV studio was good. The most impressive work to me was the multi-channel video work entitled SUBURBAN (2011-2013) a surreal-like stream of suburban imagery subverted into icons and symbols that builds to a climatic hellish destruction of the social idealism installed within the idea of suburban life in Western culture. The work was what I imagined to be if David Lynch were a street artist. The only real issue was, there wasn't any mushrooms in the entire exhibition. They didn't even serve any at the artist talk. Here are my attempts at fixing this flaw.
